My vacation in Belarus, i.e. my preparation for holidays started from visa preparation. Belarus like all CIS countries require visa to enter, so I contacted the Embassy and got the required list of documents that I have to provide to travel to Belarus. The list may change, so in case you are to do the same, check first. You need: passport size photo, visa application form which you can download, Belarus tourist voucher, passport that is valid for at least 6 months and invitation letter from Belarus travel agent with a tourist license.

In some cases you may be asked for booking of the hotel, but I don’t think that this is a strict necessity. You can be also lucky if you can apply for visa by post as you will save a lot of time on that and have no need to present yourself twice at the Embassy. Visa processing depends from case to case, but it is possible to do it one week. For some urgent cases it can be done in 3 business days.
